In a changing Brooklyn neighborhood, Quique runs a barbershop and keeps his sexuality under wraps. When he meets a handsome Irish stranger on the basketball court, their instant attraction leads to a secret romance. But his childhood friend Cuz, now the local tough guy, grows suspicious and jealous of their relationship. As the summer heats up, Quique must decide whether to live openly and risk losing his place in the community he’s always known.

Based on director Dennis Shinners’ short film, BARRIO BOY stars Dennis Garcia (Chicago Justice, Chicago Med) as Quique, alongside Keet Davis (Daredevil, The Tick) and Welsh actor James Physick.
