01: In Bed

Guy and his best friend Joy are dancing through a Pride parade, already high on ecstasy, when gunfire breaks the celebration apart and the crowd scatters in panic. They run to Guy’s apartment. In the stairwell they find Dan, another parade-goer, silent and in shock, and they bring him inside. The shooter is still at large, so the three of them stay put.

Guy is determined not to let the day end in fear. With a stash of drugs to hand, he pushes the night toward pleasure and toward the mysterious, handsome Dan. As the hours pass, sex and drugs make intimacy feel instant while news of the attack keeps seeping in. Reality begins to slip.

Over one hallucinatory night, the line between closeness and danger grows thin. Guy has to ask the question every encounter raises, and which tonight makes urgent: how well does he know the man in his bed?
